I just received a full choke barrelled Ithaca 20GA. I would like to know what game this is intended for. I already own a 12 ga modified and extra full. Does the 20GA fill a gap somewhere in between these 12 gauges?
I use the 12 ga modified for my small game hunting and the extra full for turkey. Would this 20ga. be better for certain game or only provide less kick.
The 12 modified and the 20 full shoot 2 3/4" shells. THanks

It probably was intended to shoot waterfowl back in the day when you could still use lead. You could probably use it for turkey or rabbits. I'd get choke tubes installed and use it for upland game birds.

I've used mine on everything that I have used a 12ga for . I have even shoot trap and skeet with it .You do have to concentrate more thats for sure but it makes a nice change of pace once in awhile .
