How do I find what model a shot gun is? Is there any website I can plug the serial number into and find out the specs on it? My grandpa has two old side by sides. One is a Remington and the other is a New Ithaca. The only numbers on them are the serial numbers and the Remington says Ilion, NY. The have hammers on them too.

I know that you can email remington with your serial number and they will give you date of manufacture. Not sure on the Ithaca

Go to shotgunworld.com and post in the Ithaca section. They will hook you up with the Ithaca info.
