This topic would probably get more response in a "shotgunning" forum, but since you are here already, let's see what you get.

I have only shot trap a couple of times, but I have shot hundreds of rounds of skeet and sporting clays. I prefer an over/under for any shotgun sport, but I have shot many rounds with my Browning A-5 and Benelli Super 90.

It sounds like you are doing fine with the gun that you already have. Unless you just want an excuse to buy a new gun (which I don't need much of an excuse myself), I would stick with what you are comfortable with.

Yes.

I've just picked it up again after 15 years (and that's 15 years of not shooting any firearms). I've only gone once so far and managed to shoot 20 my best round and the high teens otherwise.

I shot my 870, but I'm going to give my Spartan a chance later this month.

I used to shoot a LOT of trap. I still have my Chas. Daly Broadway O/U. Not too many of them made with the Broadway rib. For those of you shooting in the 22-24 avg. from the 16 yd. line, you are doing very well, indeed. If you are getting those averages from anything behind the 20, congrats!! Annie Oakley and buddy shoots used to be my favorites. Still have my old MEC 650 press, but haven't used it in quite awhile.
Favorite load.....AA hulls, 17.5 gr. 700X, Rem. RXP wads, Win. 209 primers, 7 1/2 shot.
Practice, practice, practice............
