But at least it's just the old assault weapons ban, and they're not trying to ban all semi-auto weapons.

I still don't get why they ban those AR-15 and AR-10s, I mean, those things are so stinkin' expensive, what makes them think a poor street gang is going to get their hands on one.

why the hell not it isnt like we dont have a big enough shortage in jobs might as well put some more people out of work jack a?? politians maybe we should try to keep the guns out of the hands ofthe criminals and not worry about the rest of us one good start capital punishment start making people think about what is going to happen when they get caught

Except that a background check is needed for any private individual to sell an 'assault weapon' to another private individual. Also note that there is a new addition with transferring a magazine that holds over 10 rounds- If you sell an AR to a friend with a pair of 20 rd magazines, you can expect to do 20 years in prison. This bears repeating: 10 years in prison for selling a bent piece of sheet metal with a spring inside it!




It will probably be amendedbefore passed to make the bill permanent without the 10 year sunset- Democrats have been waiting a long time to pass such a bill.

I believe this woman introduces this same bill every year....... Of course, now, it is potentially more serious since the Dummy-Craps control Congress (if you can call it that), so it MAY have a chance of passing. However, in the Senate, there only has to be two Democrats against it.

The Dems have been claiming that their outlook on the gun issue has changed. We'll see. Somehow, I think they lied!

(They should be tickled if someone has an SKS with a detachable magazine! I haven't found a detachable SKS magazineyet that works!)

I think it was a totally ignorant, racist, & childishcomment.I guess we will continue to be protrayed as backwards racist hillbillies due to comments such as that. I'm quite certain that John Q Public will listen to our arguments after a highly enlightened preamble as that.

I can't e-mail my reps, I live in California!! We've got Feinstein and Boxer, they are worse then Polosi!!!! And hi-caps, .50 BMG's,AR's, and AK's are already banned from the law obiding citizen, but the criminals sure have a bunch of them;)
