410 question...

if you want to get her a shotgun for deer hunting my first chioce would be a 20 gauge i suggest the rem 870. 410 isnt the best round for deer hunting the 20 gauge is a nice round with a much smaller amount of kick.

depends on the area, if your state has larger deer (body wise not antler) then a 410 is pushing it.
My sister has a 410 she uses for hunting though (yet to shoot at a deer) butit shoots a nice pattern at 70 yards. If it was impossible to kill a deer with 410 then it would be banned in all states for deer.
I would suggest at least a 20 for deer though. Bigger slug, better chance of hitting a vital, and branches have less effect.

it would be a good gun out to about 100 yards. dont worry how big the bullet is but if u can get the slug or buckshot w/ the highest payload and velocity. size doesnt really matter. i have seen someone shoot an elk w/ a .22-250 at 600 over the summer and kill it

You could also steer a car with your feet if you really wanted too, but that dosent really make it a good idea.
I would ditch the 410 single shot idea and find something like a 20ga. pump or a semi if you need to get rid of some cash
good luck!Thread
