Default Savage rifles

the other day i went to wally world to look at some rifles. the guy i talked to said that he had a gunsmith friend who had a customer bring in a savage rifle with a broken barrel. this guy a walmart said that the barrels on savage rifles are only held on by a nut. now at first i didn't believe him but now im thinking what if this is true. i am no expert so that's what brings me to here. he seemed to know his stuff about rifles. but i could be wrong. thanks.

I think what you should have said was ( It's cheep easy and ingenious imo) I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY SO MANY OF YOU CHOOSE TO PLACE COSMETICS, AHEAD OF FUNCTION!

in this case i am worried about the function. the way the guy put it was that the nut would loosen causing the barrel to come off. so that's why i put this on the forum.

just buy that ugly savage with the big nut holding the barrel on,you'll learn what accuracy is after you get one. these guns are out shooting most on the market today. for the money you can not go wrong with a savge rifle.
i have 3

mod 110 savage 22-250
mod 12 savage 22-250
mod 11 savage 7mm
they all shoot under 1in grps at 100yds.

I suppose it is someones right to place a lot of emphasis on cosmetics, but I could care less what it looks like as long as it performs.

I agree totally with the screw the cosmetic group. They are extremely accurate and the price is right.
