From what I see in the picture of the safety, it appears that the fit is too tight. I would try to open it up a little with a Dremel tool.

m77man- That would be 140 gr. Barnes XLC handloads.

Dan- It is a Bell and Carlson thumbhole, the only company I could find that made a thumbhole for it.

RR- The safety operation works pretty okay, when the bolt is all the way down. Just the position in the stock makes it awkward to operate, but for $335 I think I'm just going to live with it.

Nice. Caliber? Is the barrel free-floating and/or bedded? How's she shoot? That rear scope mount looks different....

ok no need to fix that with a new safty just sell it to me and those blackhills bullets too and buy a new one. man that is a sweet rifle and yes i can see how you would have problems with that safety
