i was looking at this gun and some said it was a nice gun but many hated it ...so i went to the store as soon as i picked it up i felt how cheap it was and never looked back.....i would go savage or remiton 700 all the way
this guy has no clue on rifles. So take what he says with a grain of salt.

Either way, Don't EVER EVER EVER buy a Remington 710, biggest joke on the market. Lot better guns out there for the money. Let us know your price range and we can reccomened something better.

You can get a Ruger stainless synthetic for under that price.

Cheaply made or not, 99% of the hunters in this country could use it every deer season for the rest of their lives and probably have no problems. That being said, I have enough $ to not want to take the risk.

They're very accurate BTW. On two separate days I've seen a 710 shooter at the local range drop five shots into 1.3 inches - at 200 yards!

Yeah, but they're not made to last. You're better off getting a cheapo Savage combo. It will out last it maybe a year or two.

Accuracy aside, if the country was full 710 deer huntersthe woods would be littered with 710 parts. Good for the critters, bad for the hunters. Smart move to spend a little more and avoid adding to the trash pile.

ok i went to the remington website and realized the 710 isn't under their products anymore. maybe they realized how much the 710 was a POS. also the 7400 isn't on their but i guess it's because they came out with the 750 woodsmaster.

Anyone had any experience with this rifle? Is it accurate? Reliable? How does it compare to the Mossberg ATR?
They make a good anchor for a small boat!
