Scope and mounts for my son's NEF ??
Currently :NEF .223 stainless with Weaver high mounts and1980's Zeiss 4x32
Problems : loose rear mount a couple of times and re-occuring high and low zero problem . Stays fine sometimes and then shoots real high or low the next time I shoot it ! Have re-zero'd this gun several times and have no confidence in the scope or mounts right now(could be either....think it's the mounts though). Plus I would like a little more powerful scope anyway !
Looking into : Nikon Monarch 3x9x40 or fixed 6x42 Monarch !
Need to pick him up a youth stock also ! He's goign to be 6 before too long and I want to set all this up and practice before next season !
Any advise.... Scope, mounts, place to pick up a youth stock online ???

RE: Scope and mounts for my son's NEF ??
I'm not familiar with the NEF(although I'm considering one for my son) or available mounts for them. I am very pleased with my Nikon Monarch 3x9x40. SWFA has an awesome sale on the Monarchs right now.

Thanks........yeh that sale is what has me wanting to go ahead and get the scope right now !!
I am kinda thinking the 6x42 may be easier for him intead of a variable..............but then I wonder if I use it if I would rather have the variable ???
