A rifle made in China of higher class than Americanmade?! Never!
Remington's aren't made in China, Brownings are made in Japan.

I betcha' Stevens are made in China, and who makes theStevens? Savage! Prolly the Savage is"Made in China".

Remington might have a problem(legal issue) with you calling their trigger adjustable?? The accu-trigger is decent, too bad it has that lawyer bar in the middle. Both are decent American made rifles, why so much to do about nothing. Remington over the last 20 yearshas lowered their standards so that they could compete with the lower priced Savage, and it shows. The problem is that out of the box the Savage on average is still more accurate. If you want something pretty, buy a flower. If you want an inexpensive rifle that performs buy a Savage. If you want a nicer rifle-then you need to skip over the Remington, and go to a different brand. Tom.

Well, then lets get some good replies on the subject(not pointless ones saying this thread is pointless) and we'll get this matter sorted out so newbies can just read one thread instead of asking the same questions over and over. OK skeeter!

It is like the argument about Ford vs Chevy there will never be a clear answer. It all depends on your personal taste.

I have had a lot of both Savage and Remington rifles. I got darn good service from both. I like Remington a little better because I have never had a ejector problems with Remington and i have had some trouble with Savage.
