RE: 3" or 3.5" Remington 870 ???
I got the 870 super mag in camo 26" 3.5" @ wally world for 298.99. I shot half a box of 1 3/8 oz. #3 3.5" steel shot at some ducks saturday. I really like it. The recoil was not bad at all. I need to take it out and check the pattern on it. Thanks for the replys.

My shotgun will shoot the 3.5 inch shells but I have never found a reason to use one. I have killed a bunch of turkys and geese with 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells.I suppose that if they came out with a six inch shell it still wouldn't be enough for the Magnum crazy guys.

I shot the 3.5 #3 steel shot and the recoil was fine with me. I weigh 275lb and like feeling the shot a bit. I like the versatility of knowing if I want to shoot 3 or 3.5" shells I can. Besides the 3" didn't come in camo. Thanks again for all the replys. Happy hunting!
