RE: For Encore Owners
I have one frame with a 308 and 454 Casull pistol barrel, a 50cal MZ and a 22-250 rifle barrel. I'm constantly changing stocks and barrels. I really need to invest in another frame.

RE: For Encore Owners
ORIGINAL: HEAD0001 To G2: I am very interested in any feedback on your 12 and 20 gauge barrels. I am assuming they are rifled? How do they shoot? Which do you like better? I will be hunting Ohio on a regular basis next year, and am considering a slug barrel for my Encore. Tom. I have used the 12 gauge rifled slug barrel for the last 3 years and it shoots great! I get 2-1/2" groups at 100 yards but it's only with Winchester Supreme Partition Golds. Those things kick like a mule. Deer drop lot a ton of bricks when they get hit with one though. I just bought the 20 gauge barrel. It is the pro hunter version and I got it because it is 28" long. Subtract the 3" chamber and that's 25 rifled inches. I am hoping that it will give me better accuracy and range with the 20 gauge slug. I probably won't get out to the range until spring time to test it out. Steve |
