a friend has a 25-06 which will not group. the first shot shoots where it should and the next two shots scatter. shoot another rifle and then go back to the ruger #1 and the first shot shoots where the previous first shot did and the next two scatter. any suggestions and could there be a fore arm problem ?thanks for any information.

I love ruger #1s but they are famous for this. Easy fix tho. go to www.brownells.com and get the forend tensioner for this rifle.

Yep, both of my #1's needed some forend pressure.
