Default What's this worth?

I've got a buddy that has a Remington Model 700 7mm Mag BDL with a Simmons 3x10x44 scope mounted on it. He bought it used a couple of years ago, but recently purchased a 300 WSM. He offered the Remington to me for 300.00 as is. The gun is in great shape. No scuffs or scratches on the stock, and only one spot (about the size of a dime)on the tip of the barrel where it needs to be re-blued. I was wondering if this is a good buy. It seems like it is to me, and I don't need the gun as I own a Remington 30-06 and wouldn't use this 7mm but if it's a good deal I don't want to pass it up. What do you all think?

I'd snap that up pretty quick, if I were you.

Tell him you will give him $250 and he can keep the scope. He might take it, then put a nice scope on it and you are set.

I would pick that up just as fast as I could get the money together. That is if you are going to be able to handle the recoil of the 7mm Mag. Even if you cant, you should be able to turn the gun for a profit. That is a good gun, and when the model 710 is going for $359 at Wallmart and it isnt even half the gun as the model 700.

It sounds like a lousy price. Give me the contact info for him so I can be ripped off instead of you. Seriously, buy it a week ago!
