Default Guess what ole santy is bringing me for Christmas!!

A knew skeet thrower, the kind that has legs and will hook into the receiver hitch on the truck if I want to. My 13 yr. old daughter is getting a 20 ga. youth model 870 so we'll be giving the skeets a hard time Christmas day. Dinner will be at my sister's house, besides myself and my daughter, my brother, dad, brother-in-law, nephew, and at least one niece maybe 2 will be shooting. Heck I might even break out the .410 and help my 5 yr. old shoot some.

Shooting pigeons are indeed very fun. Excellent practice.
This could be the start of a Christmas Tradition for your family.
Such things are priceless.

Good for you MC,

I bet you all will have a fun day!!! I'm glad your takeing the time to get new shooters started too!!

I remember my dad setting a tin can on top of a fence post and letting me shoot it off with a Savage 22/.410 he had bought. Thatwasnearly 50 years ago now, so kids really do remember these kinds of things the rest of there lives!!

man, i want one of them. All i have is a sling shot type one that only throws one speed: slow. Your arm gets more tired from the thrower than it does shooting.

My neighbor and my son and I get together every couple of months and shoot skeet. My son blew our doors off the last time that we went out and hit 18 in a row going 2 at a time, and would have probably gotten more if we hadnt ran out of shot shells lol. Great fun, but like others said, make sure that you are shooting safe and watchers are plenty far out of the way. Nobody wants to get a face full of shot for Xmas[:@]. Oh, and make sure that you buy plenty of shells for going out, you can go through a lot more than you expect once you get the hang of it.
