Gosh Chantecler111, this sounds like a good thread to start arguing with you again lol. But then again I cant. If the can is empty you should be able to penetrate the Coke can with a .357 round at up to about 300 yards or so out of a 6 inch barreled Blackhawk. But then again, this could be a trick question......

Nope, no tricks, I just wanted something that can be proven, and is almost always true, with no variables.

I need to clarify,

Are we talking about an aluminum can or the ones from the 70’s that were made from a heavier metal?[8D]

Lol, everybody figures that that there is some sort of a catch involved. How far away are you going to shoot this Coke can dead? What grain of bullet and what brand? Lets get the details set in stone and then you can show us some pictures of your kill. This will be at the very least a fun thing to do. If you are not careful this will turn into a challenge to see how far away you can hit the can and get the bullet to penetrate the thin aluminum of todays modern cans.

Can everyone agree that a .357 Magnum, in a Ruger Blackhawk, shooting at a coke can, of today's standards, at 10 yards, will be able to penetrate the can? The gun will be firing, 158 Gr. Speer Gold Dot, hollow point ammo.

I don't think it is possible.......I'll need to see some proof of this feat!

It isn't exactly a coke can, but it is proof that the feat is at least POSSIBLE.

Does everyone agree that a .357 bullet can penetrate a coke can? When fired from a 6" Ruger Blackhawk?
Not any better than a .22 Hornet.
