Most accurate .223 under $ 300 ???
 

Lets here opinions on the most accurate 300 .223. Im banking on the H&R Ultra Varmint and was wondering what else may be close ????

a savage, might have to be used though. of course contender handguns will usually print you some 1 hole groups provided that you reload for them

H&R and Savage are the only ones under $300.00 I can think of .I believe it would be pretty close between the two of them.

I have a H&R Handi-Rifle in 223.($179) I sent it back to them and they lightened the trigger. ($20) I then floated the barrel. (About $2) I bought a cheap sling, ($15) and a Harris Bipod ($50) I had a K10 Weaver around the house that I put on. The gun will shoot 1/2" groups off a bench at 100yds with Black Hills 55gr V-MAX bullets.

All told, I have about $265 in the gun...not including scope.
