WHy do you continue to post answers when you have no idea what you are talking about. You can get the Encore in any lenght thru a bunch of different companies. You can get factory barrels at different lengths also.
Sometimes its better just not to answer when you are clueless.

yea kengston lay off the crack... Straws and paper have nothing to do with barrels and bullets. a 26" barrel is about the best for a .223, thats what i have on mine and i shoot 1/4" groups at 200 yards.

I wouldn't be concerned about the length of the barrel as much as the weight. It all depends on if it is going to be a bench gun or a walking varmint gun. I would probably go for a 22-24" barrel on a 223 myself, with a 1:12 twist.
