Worst shooting experience of my life.[:@]My right arm won't quite twitching and it feels like I tore something, we went to Sportman's Warehouse and bought a box of factory 270 Gr. Weatherby Ammo, the recoil was worse than any .458 Win Mag I've shot or owned.

My uncle has one and shot it twice. A buddy of his seperated his shoulder with it and he bought it from him.My uncle who is a beast of man said he will never touch it again. I have to admit I've wanted to shoot it but haven't found the _alls. Don't think I will either.

That's about how I remember it. I shot the .378 and .460 Wby's on the same day. The braked .460 was more pleasant to shoot. It kicks, for sure, but it doesn't seem as sharp as the .378 Wby. The .378 is sharp and substantial!

Chantecler111, Have fun with your new 378-Weatherby. I traded a 270-winchester to aguy straight accross for a 375-Remington Ultra Mag. I was happy. He was happy. My wife was not too happy. I traded her 270 for that 375.[8D]
I sold that rifle last spring & bought a new bow. So I still need a big mid-bore for my safe.

The 378 Weatherby develops 71 lb Of Recoil. The 460 puts out 99 lbs of recoil. The 375 UM is tame at 53 lbs. My 416 Rem Mag put out 52 lbs. To much of any of these can and will cause permanent shoulder damage. I learned this the hard way. Good Luck with it.
