Thats an easy one. Ruger 10/22. Pretty cheap, pretty accurate and will last several lifetimes.
Agreed. I'm still shooting my dad's bicentennial model and it works amazingly perfect.

what about cz? are they any good?
Brod_Man

CZ's are great and are very accurate. A CZ 452 "Basic" with a beachwood stock goes for $192.99 at Whittaker Guns http://www.whittakerguns.com/. A 452 American w/turkish walnut stock goes for $306.99.

Here's a pic of my 453 American which is basically the same as the 452 American except the 453 has a fully adjustable single set trigger.

Like I said, and I'm sure others will confirm, CZ's are generally very accurate. Mine is every bit as accurate as the 1416D Anschutz I used to have. Here is a pic of 10 five shot groups that were shot as I was still breaking the barrel in and before I got the trigger adjusted properly.

If accuracy is important, I don't see how you could go wrong with a CZ. A CZ 452 Basic @ $192 is a lot of value for the money! Irecommend saving your pennies just a little while longer and get the 452 American w/walnut stock. Then you will have a rifle that will not only be accurate but will last a lifetime.
