I have a Winchester 1894 and would like to find an approximate age on it. It has no safety (that I know of, other than half cock on the hammer), no serial number and is chambered for .25-35. I got it from my grandpa who in turn got it from his uncle who had a small collection. Any guess to the age? Thanks

It should have a serial number somewhere on it. These are the ranges I have here.

95- 44359
96- 76464
97-111453
98- 147684
99- 183371
1900- 204427
01- 233975
02- 273854
03- 291506
04- 311363
05- 337557
06- 378878
07- 430985
08- 474241
09- 505831
10- 553062
11- 599263
12- 646114

I have the ranges up to 1962 if it is not in this list I provided. I just dated a 94 in 25-35WCF for a guy, and his was made in 1927. Hope this helps, and if you get a different number let me know and I will look it up for you.
