Savage's are very nice and accurate rifles for the money.

I as well love the hell out of them. I still have one barrel purchase to make to have the whole set of 12 FV's. It is remarkable that the do-it-yourself can change barrels, bolt handle, bolt face, and just about everything else without having to pay someone else to do it for them. Buy one action and you have a handful of calibers to choose from that you can put together yourself.

Just about every Remington I own, and all $600 or less. Plus they look a hell of a lot better. Take that back I have a thirty old model 760 pump that seems to have an eight pound trigger that only shoots 1 1/2 to 2 moa.

rcw280, While I was looking at guns and finally ended up buying a Savage, I really didn't think the Remington 700 SPS lookedany better than the Savage. I thought the fit and finish of the Savage was better.
But, beauty is subjective and in the eye of the beholder. If it weren't we would all own the same gun and drive the same kind of car. That would be boring. |
RE: savage
Brutalattack, what did you pay for your Remington.

RE: savage
I am talking overall the 710 does absolutly nothing. But I still say even the sps is better looking than any Savage.
but as you say this is no different the Chevy and Ford wars. |
