Default advice on 7mm-08

First of all,I would like to say hello to all.I amnew to this forum.I am very interested in getting into deer hunting.I'm leaning towards a savage accutrigger model in 7mm-08.Any info and opinions, good or bad would be greatly appreciated.By the way-I live in northern ca,will mainly be used for deer and maybe an occasional hog-----jester68

Welcome to the forum!Good luck with getting started. In my opinion, you don't need much advice, because your plan is already great...The 7mm-08 is an awesome deer round. I have never owned or fired a savage, but most people who own them love them. I hear they are a good value and usually very accurate.

I have a 7mm-08 in a browning, and I love that round. It is by far my favorite for deer.

Good luck!

The 7mm08 would be a fine choice for your uses.Plenty of power and mild recoil.

Welcome. Buy 2 and I can use one when I come to hunt with you. Good solid rifle and a great caliber.
