Im looking to retire my 12 ga. Winchester 1300 and Im looking at buying a 20 ga. I saw a Browning Deer Hunter gold 20 ga. with a cantilevered barrel at Gander Mountain and it was all i could do to walk out....without it

What are your suggestions for an accurate 20ga. and what kind of distance should I expect?

I'd go for an 870 w/ slug barrel. The browning would also be a nice choice. If you're willing to pay the price, SST slugs from hornady will make a 20gauge a 150-200 yard gun. Standard sabot slugs better stick under 125-150.
