RE: Swedish mauser complete bolt.

I understand for a little more I could buy one... I've seen them for anywhere from 140.00 (in shooting shape) to upwards of 400 for all matching and good condition.

However, I have a rifle with a pretty good bore that needs only a bolt and a front sight, so this is a savings. And I really don't need anymore complete swedes, this one when finished will make 5 ...:)

RE: Swedish mauser complete bolt.

Wow, 7 .. I've run out of room for my long guns....gonna finally have to get rid of some. When I had my FFL I got into acquiring oler military specimens for collection purposes, but soon found myself gravitating toward turning them into deer hunting rifles. So I always thought "That could be a nice rifle in the woods" and consequently I acquired more than I could possible work on.

I have only 2 Swede's in full military config, one 96 and one 38. They were the best of all I had acquired and I let many others go.
However, I now have 2 excellent sporters as well, and this one that needs the bolt will be a third. I'm gonna see if I can get Weaver pivot mounts to fit this one, trying to maintain some form of iron sights on it as well. Hoping to make this one a "foul weather and truck gun" with a Brownell baked on lacquer finish and an aftermarket synth stock. It will proabbly wear it's original military barrel, unless I can't get it to print. I've got a stable of older vintage Weaver scopes with the Post and crosshair reticle just waiting to be mounted on this when I get finished.
