870 w/slug choke ???
I have a 870 with a 20" smoth bore but it had a rifled choke in it... The choke is flush with the end of the barrel... Anyhow I've never shot any slugs threw this choke... I have shot Rem slugs threw the Mod choke and the will prob print 2" at 50 yards...
I'm curious if the Sabot type slug will shot pretty good threw one of these chokes...
Has anybody shot one of these choke and how did it shoot???

Sometimes they will. It's better than a smooth bore. Really depends on the slugs honestly. The newer fast slugs may not do so well.
I think the rifled choke tubes were really designed for foster style slugs. Something to give you a bit more consistancy out of your smoothbore.

It really depends on your sights. If it is a bead, probably not. If you have rifled sights or a scope, it might do better. I used to have an 870 with the rifled choke, and with a scope, it printed 4 1/2" groups at 100 yards with sabot slugs. (Remington copper solid if I remember right) Not a tack driver, but definitely minute of deer accurate. Good luck.

It does have rifle sights... I was thinking about shooting the light field slug threw it...
I wasn't sure if you could shoot the old Foster style slugs threw it or not... If they will shoot then that's what I might use
