Default Llama pistols any good?

A friend of mine just a bought a new llama pistol (40 S&W) for home defense. Are these pistols any good, or junk. He only spent about $250.

I can only speak for their 1911 style 45 ACP. They build a pretty darn good gun. When I was combat shooting, several of my friends had them and they performed darn well . From the ones I have been around, they are well worth the money. A good friend of mine still has one that I have been trying to deal him out of.

A friend of mine traded a pellet stove for his Lama. He wants the Lama back. Good luck.

I don't know what happened but I know from shooting these guns that it would not be the fault of the gun.

Llama, The only surviving major Spanish Pistol Manufacturer used ot have a rep a s cheap gun. Supposedly, they have increased quality and metal strngth in recent years. But for a cheap good pistol it is hard to beat the ruger auto

I've owned two, both miniaturized Model 1911-types in .380. They were excellent!
