Just purchased a Wally World Winchester Model 70 Shadow in 300 WSM. I plan to use it in October for a Mule Deer, and Elk hunt. This is my first Magnum in 300, so I’m looking for some advice on what would be a good load. I do reload, so a good recipe from experience would be great. Also would like some info on factory ammo for the same hunt. Appreciate and info you can provide…Thanks in advance,

I have two 300 WSM's and both like Win Supreme 150 gr ballistic silvertips. That bullet has also done a number on the deer that I have shot with them. I don't reload for my 300WSM, so I can't help you there. You have a nice gun in a great caliber. Good luck on your hunt.

I would certainly try the 168gr or 180gr tsx as they are very accurate in most rifles andperform great on game.Use starting loads a few grains below those for conventional bullets and work up.

I have a 16BSS Savage .300 wsm that I bought a few months back that shoots just about any factory load I feed it very well. I went out tonite to the range and shot this 3 shot 100 yd group with Federal 180 gr Power-shock soft point ammo.
