I'm considering buying a T3 or a new Whitetail Hunter that I came across in 270. I'll either buy a SS/laminate T3 or the Whitetail Hunter, which is SS/synthetic. I currently have a WhitetailHunterin .243 which I like. However, it seems a bit heavy. I'm having a tough time deciding, so any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks.

The synthetic Stainless T-3's are very nice and light too. I have one in 25-06 which is a real pleasant shooter. It's a deer's worst enemy. However, I do like the Laminate stainless ones too. I've got a 270 WSM coming in soon. It is definately heavier than the synthetic version. That may be good on heavier recoiling calibers. My 25-06 is a *****cat. Good luck with your selection.

Wormie, I myself don't like the T3. It may shoot pretty good even though the ones I ahve shot didn't do so great. But I do like the Whitehunter and the continential. Might be hard to find new. Not the plastic parts like on the T3. Don't have the goofy one size fits all mag. Not cheapened.

I have the 695 in 30-06 and the T3 in .243. The T3 fits me better. The 695 is heavy and overall it just feels like a bigger gun. The 695 does however seem to be of higher quality. Fact is though, I'd take another T3 in a different caliber but wouldn't take another 695. Both are synthetic SS.
