RE: Howa Lightning vs. Weatherby Vanguard

I own a 308 Weatherby Vanguard. Have killed tons of deer w/ it.. Very reliable, very low recoil, and economically priced. I love mine and wouldn't trade it for anything

It also costshundreds of dollarsmore than the standard vanguard.More than a tikka t-3 which must shoot a 5 shot 1" group.

Bolt Shroud and bolt on Weatherby locks on safe but I understand Howa is doing it now with current production as well. Weatherby accuracy guarantee and you get the Pimp stock as well.

RE: Howa Lightning vs. Weatherby Vanguard

I have the Howa Lightning in 243 and 308 and think that they are excellent. They both get an absolute beating and have given no problems. Knocked over a couple of Kangaroos and 3 pigs the other night all with clean head shots atup to 200 yards. Have shot over more than that distancebut dont usually need to.
