RE: Winchester Model 70 Coyote
BigCountry,
K.I.M...these guns are "sort of" glass bedded from the factory. Both the recoil lug and the rear of the action are bedded. Obviously, I understand how your idea's of bedding differ from those of Winchester's. However, you may confuse some folks who are not aware of the differences. BTW...My Win Mod 70 Featherweight is bedded from the factory so tightly it is actually very difficult toseperate the action from the stock... |
RE: Winchester Model 70 Coyote
Now, the coyotes I am talking about are not glass bedded. These were bought about 2 years ago when they first came out.But yes, the feather and classics are. I was thinking thats the reason the coyote was so much cheaper than the classic and featherwieght.
But my a-bolts are supposed to be glassed to, but It looks more like a smudge of gum inside. but easy enough fix with 10 dollars of glass. |
RE: Winchester Model 70 Coyote
So the current Coyotes are, or are not bedded?

RE: Winchester Model 70 Coyote
They wasn't when they first came out. I was all hot on getting one, cause they were a sexy rifle. Good looking laminated stock, liked the two tone. But then started snooping around, and ended up getting a remington PSS because their Stealth was no were to be found. And then came up on the FN SPR and I found my tactical gun for life.

RE: Winchester Model 70 Coyote
I found a NIB Stealth II .223 at my LGS for $550 a couple of months ago. I put it on layaway and am plicking it up this monday. Gunbroker shows these going for $700 so I think I did good. My LGS even admitted tome the other day that he sold it too cheap. I believe that these are freefloated and have adjustable triggers;does any body know?
