I like a DA revolver for home defense because if my wife picks it up, all she has to do is point and pull. I like Rebel Hog's setup with a spurless hammer. Nothing to snag on clothing...of course if you sleep in the buff I guess it isn't a problem.:D

OEH Go for a Ruger SP101.They are a great little revolver that will handle anything you feed it in reason.I prefer carrying my Glock M27.Another of my carry guns is a S&W M 649. It's a earlier model chambered in 38 spl.If I were to do it over again the SP101 would win hands down.
