RE: mossberg
I just bought the Mossberg 935 auto loader 24" for turkey's. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet ,but I'll let you know Wed when that big ole Tom come's walking into range.
I agree the price was definately right and I'm usually a Remington guy ,but I was sold on the appearance and the price .

I like the mossbergs too. For the money you cant beat them. If they are good for military use then they are good for me. Benelli is good but its a shame they probably will be phasing out the mossbergs. The 835 is nice, its just shooting those 3 1/2 " shells. I just stick with the 3" ones. I you like the kick from the 3 1/2" ones, then go for it. A good sims pad would help though. It did on my Winchester 1300 defender. The 3" winchester high velocitiy supreme turkey loads were killing me from the bench but the sims made them more enjoyable. By the way has anyone noticed 3" shells patterning better in the 3 1/2" chambers. My friend bought one of the new remington 3 1/2" magnum 870s when they first came out. The 3" outshot the 3 1/2". Looked at the new mossberg 100 atr rifle the other day and it wouldnt be too bad for a truck or atv gun that you didnt care to get beat up. I saw it at wally world for 244.99. They had .270 win and 30-06. Think its the old raptor model that charter arms had. Looks kinda like a savage.
