New Toy
Well I broke down again this year and bought yet another single shot rifle A ruger 1-s in 45/70. Always wanted one of these things and the deal was too good to pass up. The Stock is about the finest I have seen yet on a no 1. According to my RCBS trigger gauge it has a 3lb trigger pull. Anyone have any experience with something like this?

Even though I don't have any experience with that actual gun, I would like to congratulate you on your good fortune. I am not sure you could find a more classy rifle/cartridge combination anywhere on Earth.

Thanks for the kind words Seattle ...I am humbled. I won't comment on any topic if I don't have experience with it , i don't rely on hearsay. You know I wanted one of these things(Ruger no 1) first time I layed eyes on one as a Kid reading Shooters Bible. I went thru the fiberglass stock/SS rifle thing, big mag,med mag every kind of variation for a long time and they really lack character. I just started collecting No 1's and other walnut/blued steel guns and I absolutely love my collection.
