Default Ruger 77-II Short Mag Well

My Ruger 77-II 300WM has a short mag well - 3.44 in. The max OAL for 180 ABs in this rifleis 3.605. I would like to use RL-19 or 22 but it takes up more room in my case than I can fit into my mag well. Compression is not enough.

Is there some way I can have my mag well modified so it will accept a longer round?

Some can be modified but I don't know right off hand if the Ruger can or not. I had the same Problem with My Ruger all weather in 260. Sometimes you can go to a Semi Spitzer and get satisfactory results.

I like Nosler ABs and Barnes TSX but they both make a longer round. I may have to go back to Nosler Partitions.
