Depends on the state. Some have more requirments than others. If you want to see the differences, go to packing.org.

Mrs. Charley and I both have CHLs, and carry on an everyday basis.

i have mine. I will say in texas if you are travelin with you family, over 2 countys away from your home, or are carrying $200+ cash on your persons you dont need a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Well thats what our instructor told us NEway. PLUS now you can carry a weapon in your vehicle LEGALLY. kinda eliminates the permit for most of the place i go i am with family or have $200 on me, heck i carry atleast $100 in my car at all times "just in case" money.

cost me $50 and 8hours on a saturday. As well as 48 well placed shots to teh head of my silhouette. would have been 50/50 but he told me if i used my pistol and someone died i would go to jail if they pulled my file and saw that i could hit what i was aiming at.... NEwho i wasted 2rounds to the dirt. then mail in i think it was $120 for the actual liceness. Where did you get yours for $20 =) please share myne is due up april 3rd.

Shelby county, Alabama. Though Alabama does not issue to nonresidents.

If you want to get an out of state permit look at Florida. They issue to nonresidents and are reciprocated in more states than any other issueing state. It's valid for 5 years also.

God forbid if you have to use a gun to defend your or your famalies life and you actually hit what you are aiming at. Wouldn't that be a shame. I would think that you should score 50/50. Isn't the whole purpose of taking the training course to learn how to hit the attacker that you are aiming at and not innocent bystanders?

If common sense is so common why is it that more people don't have it? [:@]
