Default Anyone have any of these calibers?

Does anyone have any guns in either250 savage, 300 savage, 257 roberts ? If so, which guns do you have this caliber in? Im looking to find some old relic guns with medium sized cartidges. I am aware of the savage 99, I also have interest in the winchester model 100 semi auto and the winchester 88 lever action. I have also seen some nice rugers offered with the manlicher full stocks that I like too.

what are some other interesting old guns that offered the medium sized calibers? does anyone own them?

I have 98 Mausers rebarreled in 250 Savage and 257 AI ( 257 Roberts with a 40 degree shoulder )

The 257 AI is my main deer rifle and the 250 Savage is the youth or lady loaner I made up ( 12 " LOP) , the GF has taken several deer with it .

You could have a gunsmith make you one from a surplus action if you can't find one .

I have a ruger 77 in 250 savage, A savage 99 in 300 savage. I had a browning in 257 roberts but gave it to a buddys son for his 1st birthday. The only one i killed a deer with was the 257 and it put them down like god tapped them on the shoulder himself .. I would like to get a win 88 in 284. Another short medium gun I have is a win 94 in 356..

I was just at Bass Pro yesterday and was in the Library and saw a Remington 7600 pump chambered in 300 Savage......I didnt know they even made them. [:-] It was expensive though, they wanted like $800 for it.

I have two 250-3000 Savage rifles. One is the 700 Remington Classic and the other is a Model 99 Savage rifle. I have had the 300 Savage and 257 Roberts also in the 700 Remington. I had a Savage Pump in 30-30 and Winchester and Marlin rifles in 25-20, 32-20.

The Reminmgton pump has been chambered in (I Think) 27 different calibers. Including all the ones you mentioned

I have a Remington 81 in 300 Savage and a Savage 99 in 250-3000.
I was suprised at the accuracy and lack of recoil of the 250-3000 (250 Savage)

The 250 Savage is one of a few rifles that hit game animals really hard but the shooter very softly. The 6.5x55 is another but hits quite a bit harder yet. My wife, who loves to hunt and shoot but despises recoil, loves the 250 Savage.

Don't wanna make anyone angry, but what good is a 25-20 or 32-20? It seems too slow for varmint and not really powerful enough for deer.

They are not a great choice for deer but they will do it. My daughter shot her 1st buck with a Win model 73 in 32/20, The deer went about 40 yds and fell over
