all my buddies except for two use the 35 remington up in maine. where the shots cane be up real close and out to 150yds. all use a 1-4 scope or a 3-9 scope on there's. i have seen what a 200gr. rem core-lokt can do to a deer at 75yds.
they look like a mack truck hit them. i would personally use peep sights or the iron sights with a gun that is made for under 150yds. i would not push that distance. it is also a pleasure to shoot. some places you might have problems finding ammo for it. but ammo at wal-mart is about $15.00

Fork Horn
I have one and killed a lot of deer with it. I used 200 grn winchester power points. I used it for climbing stand hunting in the woods, but 2 years ago when I bought my muzzle loader, I took the 4 power scope off of it and put it on the muzzle loader, so I haven't used it since. Now for climbing stand hunting and hunting stands where my shots are 200 yds. and under, I now use my remington 30-06 pump, parkerized with synthetic stocks shooting 165 grn tbbc's. But I did love that .35 for what I used it for, I am holding on to it for my son to use, right now he's only 16 months old though!

If you change your mind let me know. I got 3rd dibs. Sighting in iron sights? Hope thats a joke. Rear goes in the direction you want the bullet to go.

I've seen 4 times as many 35's as I have 7-08's and you can find ammo in many Walmarts so use it and I think you'll like it.
