Default Can't decide

I know I want a big bore levergun, and I can only afford one, but I just can't decide what. The marlin 1895, Marlin 444, and '92 Puma in .454 are the three I have it narrowed down to. But which one? This will be a close range brush gun to take deer, black bear, and hopefully moose up to 100 yards.

All three of the cartridges are great. I have used the 444 for more than 30 years with great sucess.

I'd have to go with the 444.

My choice is also the .444 Marlin. Awesome round and certainly more than capeable of killing the largest moose well beyond 100 yards.

Browning BLR in 30 caliber???????????

Not trying to be a smart a$$ but.............................

Aside from him not even asking about a BLR in his question the BLR is chambered in numerous 30 caliber cartridges. Such as the .308, 30-06, 300 WSM, and 300 Winchester mag.

What about a 45/70? All the calibers listed would be really great big bore calibers.

Outta of the three listed I would go with the .444 Marlin. I have shot them and they are really good hog guns for up close.

45-70 could be handloaded hotter than the others I'm guessing.
