RE: Is a Sako worth the money?
I have 2 heavy barreled Sako varmint rifles. They are pre Garcias marked Bufors steel.
When I bought each of them I asked myself if they were worth the $$. I would buy them over and over again given the chance |
RE: Is a Sako worth the money?
So if $ 800 is a stretch, is it safe to assume that $ 1,100+ is completely out of the question? If so, I would say no the Sako is not worth the money.
That said, if $ 1,100+ is in play and you are looking for a reason to justify your purchase of a Sako, I don't think you could buy a better rifle. How could you ask for anything better. Really, you have no choice... The purchase must be made. In all seriousness, this is such a subjective question. There are hundreds of reasons to go either way. Let us know which way you need to be convinced and we'll try our best to help you out. Cheers... |

Chopper, the stocks are basically the same, just different colors I believe.

RE: Is a Sako worth the money?
I presently have a Finnlite and have also owned a Finnbear. I consider them the best off the rack rifle you can buy. Up here in canada a Finnlite retails for around $1600.00 so if you can get them for what you are quoting just snap it up. Yes they are worth more than some of the junk out there. Take into consideration that you won't have to replace the trigger, stock or have to do anything else to it but sight it in.

RE: Is a Sako worth the money?
Would you guy's please stop talking about these rifles already. It's not bad enough that I woke with the "Man I think I got to have a Sako rifle syndrome" But you guy's are making it that much harder..DO I want one ofthe older ones with the Boroforos steel? Do I want a NIB ? Which would you suggest.I am not much worried about the cost.( When I see something I want I am going to get it sooner or later) BTW I want a real, real purdy one....Alton

Swamp, I got a new in Box one recently and am just as happy as I am with my3 year old model. I know some are worried about the new imports but they seem just as good.

RE: Is a Sako worth the money?
To me they are good rifles but not good values.
