I don't know much about it but I think my new rifle's pull is effecting my accuracy. I have some good groups but other times I will be over the target some. I have been shooting similar rifles for a few years and shoot alot. I am not worried about that. My question is what do you guys have yours set at? I konw the gun smith will do it but I want some insight before heading there. Thanks!

I just reset my son-in-laws Model 70 last night - It was 8# - it was driving me nuts trying to shoot a group. since it is a hunting rifle I set it at 3-4# pull, if I were target shooting I would go just @ 2#.
Just my thoughts....

My personal rule is to stay above three pounds, but not over 4,for arifle that could see use in very cold weather. Otherwise, around 2.5 pounds is good for general field use. My target guns go bang at about six ounces.
