I will be using this rifle in very cold weather. Possibly single digits to below zero on many days. I'm thinking around 3.5#. The manafaucters set it a an 8# default if I am correct.I justcan't takeit. Can a gun smith get it exact enough to be right at 3.5# or will it give or take a few ounces?

Trigger pull is personal preference. I prefer 2 lbs. I also prefer no creep and no over-travel. Factory triggers suck green tomatoes.

2.5 to 3 also. In winter and cold I 3 the best. Zeak

What kind of rifle do you have? Some, like Remingtons, are reasonably adjustable. Others can only get a decent trigger pull by installing an aftermarket trigger.

3pounds seems to work well for me especially with light gloves, 2 or less is silly for anything but benchrest/prarie doggin IMO unless you have very sensitive and weak fingers!!

Have my big game rifles set @ 3lbs. Any less and I get nervous about it in cold weather, particularly with any type of glove on. Easy to get fumble fingered when you are really cold and things just don't work the same.

For a hunting rifle 3 1/2 to 4 lbs. is excellent. If you will be shooting long distance drop down to 3 lbs. but I wouldn't go below that in any hunting situation.

3 1/2 to 4 lbs in a big game rifle , you can go lighter in your varmint rifle.
As long as it has no creep and breaks clean that's all you need.
