i just got a Winchester Model 12 shotgun (16 gauge). it is around 60 years old, it was my great grandfathers, and my grandfather just gave it to me. it looks to be in good conditions, with very little rust. the barrel is clean and the pump actions moves smoothly. i was wondering if anyone had a model 12 owners manual. Winchester no longer has any information on this shotgun, and i have looked online a little bit, but am having trouble finding anything.
the shotgun says it uses 2 3/4 in shells, what type would yall recomend for turkey hunting and for upland birds (dove mostly)?

You can find 16 gauge ammo at Cabelas, etc. You will want to find the "hottest" number 6's for turkey and mild (skeet/trap) loads with number 7 1/2 or 8's for Dove. Your Model 12 is as strong as a horse so don't worry about shooting the hottest factory loads. Regards, Rick.
