RE: Which 200 dollar scope do you recommend

I recently bought a Nikon Buckmaster and put it on my .280. So far I am impressed withh the quality. It runs a close second to the Bushnel 3200.Becareful of Cheep Leopolds (VX-1)

Of the scopes you list, my personal order of preference would be:
Burris Fullfield II 3x9 Ballistic Plex (I have two of them)
Nikon Buckmasters (have a 4.5x14X on order)
next would be two you left out:
Sighton SII 3-9x42
Weaver V9 (even cheaper, about $150)
then the others
Leupold VX-1
Bushnell Elite 3200
Nikon Prostaff (even cheaper than the Weaver)
and last the Simmons Aetec (assuming they actually release the new master)
Really any of the first six would probably work fine, the Burris FFII with free binoculars is a heck of a deal (I got the free spotting scopes with mine, sold one of them to a coworker for $40) Many people swear the Sightron is the best scope available for $200, but I haven't tried one yet. I had a Weaver V9 years ago and it worked well on a .243, but;
when I was faced with the same choice, I chose the Burris Fullfield II w/Ballistic Plex reticle and free spotting scope, TWICE, as it seemed to be the best deal on a very nice scope.
