FINALLY
After a long waiting period saving money here and there I finally brought home my new toy I told you all about a few months ago. A Christmas present to me!
Remington 700 stainless 338 ultra mag. It sits in a black HS Precision stock and I scoped it with a Burris FF-II 3-9X40 scope in Warne rings and bases.
Can't wait to get to the range and pound my shoulder a bit.
Only problem with this HS stock is that it has the standard hard rubber pad on it.[8D] I think I am gonna have to remove it and grind me a Limb Saver pad to fit it.

RE: FINALLY
Congrat's bigbulls. Do you reload? If so keep us posted what you find that works.
As soon as I can get a weekend day warm enough to shoot, I'll be taking my 338 Rum out to start the load building and barrel break in.
I kind of had getting one in the back of my mind, and one day while browsing, the gun store had a Rem 700 LSS left hand marked down to $550. Since I'm a lefty it was kind of a situation of opportunity, I told em if they would make it 500 I'd write the check - and left with it.
I'm kind of interested in finding a good, not great, consistent load as quickly as possible. It's not the gun I really anticipate shooting alot.
