Mossberg 9200
I have had this gun for a few years now but never used it hunting. Im thinking of using it next year. It has open sights, which is cool, but id rather put a scope on it. It's not a cantilever barrel and it isn't drilled for scope rings. Id have to get one of them attachments where you press the pins out and slip it over, I really don't like that! Is it possible for a smith to drill new holes for me, so i can ring it?
Thanks

RE: Mossberg 9200
I had a 9200 that was drilled after market by a smith. I wouldn't recommend a saddle mount on a semi. It can squeeze the action slightly and cause it to jam.
How is your 9200 working anyway? Mine exploded a few years ago. I had a slug barrel and was sighting it in when it blew. The slug, brass and most of the bolt and inner workings came out the ejection port. The plastic hull went up the barrel and the crimp never even opened. I was told later by the gunsmith that the action wasn't closed all the way and the pin went forward anyway.
It was too bad, I really liked that gun. [X(]
