James, Sierra has a better selection of powders for reloading the 270 WSM compared to the Nosler reloading manual. Sierras bullets are also listed from 90, 110, 130, 140 and 150 gr.

The 300 RUM destroys to much bark and leaves. Nothing left for the termites.I won't shoot any cartridge through brus on purpose. However most hunters think the heavy slow bullets won't deflect as much. I never found this to be true.

Probably because itis a myth.I have seen the results of several tests that proved that heavy slow bullets deflected just as much as lighter or faster bullets.

I load all my loads for my 7mag max load with RL22, and I have a 26" tube on my rifle. I really need to invest in a chrony.

Anyone else have a hard time with their RCBS uniflow powder thrower when throwing charges of RL22? I can't seem to keep anything too consistent with mine with that powder.

I guess I have got in a pattern too. around our camp we bash the 30-06 and .308 ,labeleing them as bullet lobbers. We also bash the 700 BDL. Most all of us are not into shiny wood stocks anymore. Dont know why, just a trend I guess. but we were all guilty of owning at least one BDL. LOL
so if you show up to our camp with a BDL in 30-06 get ready for some ribbing, but its all in fun .
scent eleimination is one of my other quirks. argggggggg ! LOL
I regularly bag my deer every year, usually with jeans and a carthart jacket and a ciggarette in my mouth. LOL
But hey if camo and scent elimanting soaps are your thing, more power to you, but get ready for some ribbing, in our camp.
