Different companies. And they can't even tell you who makes them because they don't even know, I have asked. I own one of the Alaskan Guide models and tried to figure out who made them. They said different models, even in the same line up might come from a different company. I bet they go with who ever will give them the best price for the specs they want. I know mine was made in a japanese plant where other top brands are made.
The pine ridge scopes are very simular to the simmons and bushnells they compete with, but sometimes for a bit less money.
I know my Alaskan guide scope compared pretty well to other scopes I looked at for 100 or more dollars above what I paid for it.
Not to mention you can't beat cabela's customer service and return policy. Especially if you live near one.
Is there one inparticular you are interested in? I live near a cabela's and could go look at the model you want if they have it in stock and compare it to something simular for you. It wouldn't be very scientific but I could tell if it looked just as good, a bit better or if it was a POS. They have a TON of scopes to compare them to.
All of cabela's brand name stuff is made by leading makers to thier custom specs. They are not some cheap fly by night knock off of a simular product. Cabela's will not put thier name on crap. I have several items that have thier name on them from scopes, clothing, knives and shoes. All of them are of top quality and worth the price I paid for it. My hiking boots are some of the best shoes I have ever owned. They need replaced now, and I will gladly pay the 90-100 bucks they want for them.

Well if it is a present you are buying for someone else I wouldn't worry too much. Just let them know if they are not happy with it they can return it. Save the reciept and the box. Cabela's has an EXCELLENT return policy. You can just say I don't like the color, or I just didn't like it. They don't care. They can either get the money or a different item.
I went thru three or four scopes until I found the one I wanted. I would buy one take it home for a few days to try it out and then bring it back and trade up. They don't care, they even told me to do it.
I even traded in a scope I had for a year to get the one I finally wanted. I got all my money back for it. You just can't beat that kind of service.
I will be honest and say I have never owned a Pine Ridge scope. I think some have though. Maybe start a thread on Cabela's pine ridge scopes and see if someone bites?

I don't think there is any one manufacturer that does it. From the way they made it sound when I asked them it was several. Or they are made at an overseas company that builds scopes for different companies. Sort of like all the 17HMR ammo being made at CCI, just to different specs.
If burris is building the pine ridge scopes I am very impressed for the price they are asking. I assumed they were made in china along side the simmons scopes and such. I may take a closer look next time I am there.
