Dick's usually has deals on rimfire ammo.
I hand load all of my centerfire and shotgun ammo

i buy all of my weatherby .300 mag. ammo from weatherby over the internet. i found buying ammo for this particular rifle from the manufacturer better, due to more consistent loading.

Cop, have you tried Bass Pro or Sports Authority?
How about Guns Galore in Lakeland?

i haven't tried those yet....it's hard for me to change when weatherby garuntees (sp?) their consistent loads.

Cop, I have never been into Weatherby, you can only buy Weatherby Ammo, from Weatherby?

you can buy ammo from federal, winchestor, etc. for weatherby's....but i have only found "weatherby" ammo, weatherby being the brand and the caliber, on their web site....if this makes sense.

RE: WHERE DOES EVERYONE BUY THEIR AMMO?

weatherby is not only a magnum caliber but a brand as well. when you have a weatherby rifle, you can't shoot the regular caliber rounds like winchestor .300...it has to be a weatherby .300 because weatherby is a larger round. other ammo manufacturers make rounds for the weatherby but i buy the brand to match the caliber for more consistency.....i hope this is clearer

only draw back to buying ammo from the manufacturer (weatherby) is the cost. it cost me approximately $2.25 a shot, which gets kinda expensive.

Cop, I have heard that Weatherby seats thier bullets deep and it gives them to much free bore. The bullet has to jump further before contacting the rifling. Have you heard this?

i'll have to check into it, i have never heard that. i have always shot weatherby because, to me, they seem the most consistent from one box to another.
