RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
I got rid of all my 7MM Mags but I used the 140 grain bullets for deer and the 175 grain for moose and big bears.

RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
my dad has been shooting 160gr accubonds for everything. SHoot good, absolute hammer for whitetails.

RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
The 139 gr. Hornady's work well for deer!

RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
154gr. hornady spire point

RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
I’ve used 160 gr. for my 7 mm Rem. Mag for years but now it’s 140 gr. for my 7mm-08.

RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
The real value of the 7MM Mag is with the heavy bullets. Much less cartridges throw the 139ers easily. The 7MM Mag should use the 160-175 grain bullets.
That said a lot of folks use it for it's speed and the 139-154 grain bullets also work. If I was to use those I'd far prefer the 7-08. |
RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
I have 2 guns, one gets 140 B/T's and the other gets 160 Accubonds. I didnt plan on it happening that way, I just let the gun tell me what it likes. My Savage has always shot the 160's better, and my Ruger has seemed to always like the 140's.

RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
I use only 140gr bullets but change the bullet construction to match the game.

RE: What grain bullet does everyone use?
I always use the tried and true 170gr rounds for my 30-30. For some reason, my Marlin doesn't care for the 150gr rounds.... go figure.
